MARATHON EXPO
MARATHON EXPO is the most important trade show dedicated to sports, which accompanies the “Athens Marathon. The Authentic” with great success, a world-wide institution distinguished for its social and cultural dimension. Top businesses from all over the world, local government bodies and representatives from international marathons compose an exhibition that is an integral part of the Authentic Marathon all these years, as Marathon Expo is the first experience of all the visiting runners, with this unique world-wide sports event. OPAP MARATHON EXPO 2023 will take place from 8-11 of November at the at the Faliro Indoor Hall & Exhibition Centre (former TaeKwonDo venue).
UNIVERSITY NIGHT RUN
The Universities’ 10km Night Run- OPAP, with the participation of Universities from all over the world, took place for the first time in 2022 during the “Athens Marathon. The Authentic”. The race aims, once again, to unite studies from Universities and colleges from around the world, with a rich 4-days program full of events, activities and benefits. At the same time, students will have the chance to participate at the official conference of “Authentic Talks” and will receive a certificate of attendance.
The right to participate, will be given to all the students who have a valid student’s ID card, which will be requested at the registration’s office in order to receive their Bib Number for their race.
TORCH RELAY "MARATHON FLAME"
Every year, the days of the “Athens Marathon. The Authentic”, there is a unique symbol that lights up, the Flame of the Marathon. The Flame of the Marathon aims to become the symbol of human will and world-wide peace, to deliver the ideals of the sport of Marathon race across the world, to project the principals of sports and to promote running and participating to long distance races as a way of life.
